Ok, so we know she is too young to enjoy it but it was really for Mommy! I love the zoo and decided it would be a great way for me & Mark to celebrate our third wedding anniversary since we didn't take our traditional trip to the beach. We had many offers to babysit so we could have a romantic night out but we both wanted Sloan with us and decided the zoo was a great way to spend the day.
That is one hot Daddy...and he does diapers and has his own diaper bag! We are two lucky girls!
She really loved the flamingos, can't you tell!Afterwards we wanted to go somewhere good for dinner and decided on the Cantina at Pepper Place, Mark's suggestion. He said since he made me move to the burbs we could at least go somewhere in "town" with a little culture and it is one of our favorites we don't get to very often. As we were about to pull into the parking lot I noticed how crowded the patio was and there was even a band! Then it hit me. May 5th to us is the wonderful day we were married but to most everyone else it is Cinco de Mayo! Mark suggested we go on in but I decided it did not look like the atmosphere for a couple with a 5 week old! We ended up at Davenport's Pizza in Mountain Brook. Not the most romantic place, but perfect for a family with kids. And since that is what we are now we were thrilled to be there!
Ok, so she slept through most of it!
